Horror Film Rough Cut 2

After presenting our horror opening a second time we still had a lot to work on, and this was the feedback we received from our peers:

WWW:

  • Our typewriter affect as it looked like someone was telling a story
  • The non diegetic sounds went well with the typewriter affect
  • Where we placed the titles as it did not get in the way of anything in the frame

EBI:

  • Some of our titles was not so low in the frame
  • Our editing was clearer so that our storyline makes sense to our viewers
  • learn how to change music between scenes so that we are not left with harsh endings of non diegetic sound on the transition onto a new scene

BBFC Classification

My group an I have chosen to classify our film as 15. We have chosen this as our horror film will have strong language and scenes of strong violence which are bit too disturbing and discomforting for viewers of a younger age - but not to a point where it is sadistic or sexualised, as a 15 year old is not yet matured enough to view these things. Our film also has scenes with harsh weapons in which viewers younger than 15 will not be able to watch without the mindset to know what is right and wrong and may feel the need to mimic these actions.
